Lush
for Soprano Saxophone, Piano, String Orchestra (4,4,3,2,1, or larger), 2 French Horns, Bass, Drums
I wrote Lush in December of 2009 as a culmination of my studies in jazz composition and arranging with Rich Shemaria. The title of the work reflects my infatuation with New York City and a new-found inspiration after I began studying film scoring at New York University.
Rich Shemaria, piano, Rob Jacoby, soprano saxophone, Alex Raderman, drums, Marty Isenberg, Bass, NYU orchestra players, Dosia McKay, conductor, at Dolan Recording Studio in Manhattan, New York, April 2010.
