Far From Home

for Piano and String Orchestra

This is the first piece I have written for acoustic instruments, relying purely on instinct, before I took any composition lessons. We, eastern Europeans love a good heart-felt melody. This one embodies my memories of Poland and is full of longing, tenderness, and hope. Solo piano version is also available.
